Established in 2000, Hindustan Biosciences Limited (HBSL) is an integrated firm with diversified operations in pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. The company initially commenced operations by sourcing bulk drugs (APIs) and drug intermediates for the Industry with a wellspring of global suppliers and associates.

In the year 2007 the company obtained the import license from Genetic Engineering Approval Committee (GEAC) for a nephrology product "Recombinant Human Erythropotien" after conducting clinical trials of the same. The company has been marketing the niche drug extensively ever since.
